Tip of the Week

Having regular checkups with your dentist, family doctor, gynecologist, optometrist, etc. is so important. Not only does it help you develop a documented medical history, but it also can enable you to find out about an illness or disease before it’s too late to treat. However, you shouldn’t just rely on annual checkups to tell you whether something is wrong with your body. It’s just as important to listen to your body and recognize when something has changed. Sometimes small changes mean nothing, while others can be a symptom of something more serious. Writing these issues down in a journal (when they occur, for how long and the sensations/pain you feel) can be beneficial if you end up needing to visit the doctor.
