November 20, 2009, Newsletter Issue #6: Organic Hair Care

Tip of the Week

Are you using traditional hair care products? Do you have dry hair and split ends too? Well, there might be a connection here. Some mousses contain alcohol, and some hair sprays contain chemicals that clog your pores. Switching to organic hair care products can be healthier for your hair and skin. You should look for products that contain cucumber, lavender, rosemary, ginseng and pro-vitamin B-5. Natural hair products should contain recognizable ingredients that are either fruit- or plant-based. Aveda has a hairspray, which contains red raspberry, cranberry, pumpkin, black cumin and other antioxidant-rich ingredients. These products also smell sweater and don’t leave a dust cloud of chemicals in their path.
